Special film screening – ”Woman at War” by Benedikt Erlingsson on 13/02

As part of our campaign ”My Community, My Vote”, Time for Equality has the pleasure to organise a special screening of the 2018 Lux Film Prize winner ”Woman at War” by Icelandic director Benedikt Erlingsson.

When: Wednesday 13/02/2019 from 18:30

Where: Cine Utopia, 16 Avenue de la Faïencerie, L-1510 Luxembourg

Registration: The event is free of cost and open to all, but prior registration is required. Book your ticket here.

Languages: The film will be shown in its original version, with French and Dutch subtitles.

Synopsis: Halla is a fifty-year-old independent woman who declares war on the local aluminium industry. She is prepared to risk everything to protect the pristine Icelandic Highlands she loves… Until an orphan unexpectedly enters her life.

Did you know that EU nationals residing in Luxembourg may register to vote for Luxembourg’s 6 future MEPs on 26 May 2019?

Who can register to vote:

In order to be allowed to vote in the European elections in Luxembourg, one must be an EU or a Luxembourg national, be at least 18 years old on election day (26 May) and be a resident of the Grand Duchy. Learn more on icanvote.lu.

The closing date and time for registration to vote for all EU nationals living in Luxembourg is Thursday 28 February 2019 at 5pm.

How to register to vote:

It is easy to register to vote – you can either register online on MyGuichet.lu or in person at your local authority office (commune). Full details are available here.

Dans le cadre de sa nouvelle campagne “My Community, My Vote’’ Time for Equality a le plaisir d’organiser une séance spéciale du film islandais «Woman at War », le grand gagnant du Lux Film Prize en 2018. Le film réalisé par Benedikt Erlingsson sera présenté en version originale avec sous-titres français et néerlandais et sans frais d’entrée.

“My Community, My Vote’’ cherche à promouvoir un plus grand engagement des citoyens de l’Union Européenne et également d’encourager un taux de participation plus élevé aux prochaines élections européennes le 26 mai 2019.

Saviez-vous que les ressortissants de l’Union Européenne résidant au Luxembourg peuvent s’inscrire pour élire les 6 futurs députés européens du Luxembourg le 26 mai prochain?

Les Luxembourgeois et les citoyens européens résidant au Luxembourg doivent s’inscrire sur les listes électorales avant le 28 février à 17h00.

Deux possibilités sont à la disposition de ceux qui souhaitant s’inscrire sur les listes électorales: soit l’inscription en ligne, via le portail Guichet.lu, soit l’inscription à l’administration communale du lieu de résidence où seulement un document d’identité en cours de validité est nécessaire.
